June 2023 Red Wine of the Month
Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world’s most widely recognized wine grapes. Its popularity among growers is largely due to its ability to thrive in various climates. The sunny and refreshing Washington weather and characteristic volcanic and stony soil are especially ideal to produce grapes that lead to complex and elegant wines. We added a touch of Californian Zinfandel to balance the tannins and enhance this wine’s fruitiness.
Blend: 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Zinfandel
Grower/Vineyard: Kamiak Vineyards, Columbia River, WA
Residual Sugar: 0.4% DRY
