As one of the few estate-grown wineries in Washington, Gordon Estate prides itself on the grapes grown in the estate called Kamiak Vineyards. Kamiak is located on the southern-facing slope of the Snake River, in the heart of Washington’s wine country, Columbia Valley.
This unoaked Chardonnay was made in a fruity style and the result is a light and crisp, well-balanced wine. During its 6 months of aging in stainless steel tanks, we made batonnages twice a month using the rich fine lees formed during the fermentation. Batonnage is the process of stirring the fine lees remaining in the tank of unfinished wine to give it a creamier and “sweet” texture. Enjoy this superb Chardonnay with grilled seafood or chicken salad.
