MUSCAT 15

The Muscat grapes for this vintage came from Colavita Vineyards, a fourth-generation, family-owned vineyard in Lodi, CA. The 2015 vintage was one of the earliest harvests in California history and the Muscat grapes for this particular wine were harvested July 22.

The Muscat grape family consists of over 200 grape varieties and is known to be one of the oldest grape varieties in the world. Muscat is also the only grape to produce wine with the same aroma as the grape itself and is categorized as one of the ‘four aromatics’ (Muscat, Gewurztraminer, Viognier and Riesling). Muscat can be made from dry to sweet, and our 2015 vintage runs on the dry side at only 1% residual sugar.
