Seyval Blanc is a French hybrid grape cultivated specifically for its propensity to ripen early and thrive in cool climates. In the Finger Lakes region and in the Midwest, Seyval Blanc makes an excellent alternative to Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc – both grapes that aren’t particularly fond of the cold. Lynfred has enjoyed a relationship with Correll Vineyards for a number of years and we’ve been hugely successful with authentically-Illinois grapes such as Seyval Blanc, Norton & Chambourcin.
