Teroldego is the leading indigenous red variety in Trentino-Alto Adige, a northeastern region of Italy at the southern tip of Austria and Switzerland. In California this variety has been cultivated since a couple decades ago for production of deep, dark, red blends. California Teroldegos tend to be bigger than their Italian counterparts. This variety offers versatility to be produced in different styles, from young and fruity to aged and complex wines. Our exclusive 2017 Teroldego was made with grapes from Clarksburg, California; blending a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington to enhance the body and oaky character of the final wine.
Blend: 92% Teroldego / 8% Cabernet Sauvignon
Grower/Vineyard: Heringer Vineyards, Clarksburg, CA & Kamiak Vineyards, WA
