Makes 1 Cocktail
4-5 strawberries, quartered
1 large basil leaf, torn (plus more for garnish)
1 ½ tsp lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
2 oz Lynfred Strawberry Wine, chilled
½ oz gin or vodka
½ oz citrus vodka
Club soda, chilled
Crushed ice
In a cocktail glass (I used a rocks glass), muddle the strawberries, basil, and lemon juice. Next, add Lynfred Strawberry Wine, ice, and the hard liquor. Stir well. Top off the cocktail with club soda,
and lightly stir. Garnish with more basil.
*I prefer using frozen strawberries that are thawed; they muddle very well.
*This is a very light, and refreshing summer cocktail. I used a floral gin mixed with citron vodka. A regular vodka would work just fine in place of the gin.
